Accident Summary:
On approach, the pilot rolled off the throttle. A loud bang was heard. The aircraft vibrated at 100 foot altitude. The pilot flared the aircraft to land short of trees. At 10 feet above the ground, he pulled pitch. The aircraft turned right with a nose low attitude and moving backward the left skid dug into the ground causing the aircraft to roll on its left side. Leaking fuel ignited and the aircraft was totally destroyed
