FORMATION LANDING IN A SMALL LZ WITH LOW OVERCAST RAIN AND SMOKE TOUCHDOWN WAS ON TOE OF LEFT SKID ON A STEEP COMPOUND SLOPE ACFT HIT HARD TURNED RIGHT UNTIL TR HIT A TREE AND WAS TORN OFF ACFT THEN SPUN RIGHT COMING TO REST AGAINST ANOTHER TRE THIS CREW WAS INEXPERIENCED AND WAS LED INTO A SITUATION PERHAPS BEYOND THEIR CAPABILITIES

Accident Summary:
Five minutes after take-off, the aircraft became uncontrollable. The main rotor blades flexed down on the left rear of the aircraft then flexed down on the engine compartment. The fuel and oil lines broke and the engine ignited. The aircraft fell into the China Sea
