Below is a collection of audio logs, retelling the events of the men of the 129th.

Greetings Mark!

Good to hear from you...hope you and your family are well.

This is exactly what Darrell Ramos was looking for: an archivist for all things 129th. I'll get it in the mail to you in the next couple of days. As I think I mentioned on the blog, Darrell and I have some disagreement as to what day it was. The Armed Forces Vietnam Network (AFVN) DJ mentioned Friday, June 25th. James Young was killed on the following day. There is some mention on the recording of one of our birds taking fire "from 4:00", which jives with the door gunner's position. But since it was the day before, I don't think it was James' death that was picked up. Anyway, Darrell has listened to it several times and has said he hears a little something else every time.

Hi Mark -

Here's the dud (audio) I promised.

Hopefully, it's something the 129th can use for its posterity.

Thanks for all you've done and continue to're a national treasure, and I'm sure Larry is mighty proud...
